What is the 11th House?

In Astrology, the 11th House is the area of life that has to do with the tension between individuals and the communities they are a part of. It is the place where the social orders -- governments, laws, monetary systems -- run up against the people that have to live with them. It has to do with the application of order, with methodology, science, and innovation. In many ways, the internet is a great metaphor for the 11th house -- connecting individuals together in a variety of identifiable groups that both allow for a collective identity and also sharp need to remain an individual.
